Animation, from start to end

Published on 7 October 2024 at 17:45

Greetings fellow readers from World Wide Web, this blog will be about my assignment to make an animation from start to finish.

first some information about this assignment, we were allowed to do anything we want we just to do all the steps but what the animation would be about or in what animation style we would work was totally up to us.

1. Character design

Our teacher wanted us to have the most creative view when it came to making characters so we had multiple assingments abouth this.

we cut random shapes and the teach would tel us things like "take the biggest piece and the roundest piece, now the biggest piece is the body and the roundest piece the hand, go make a character". And this would happend multiple times until we had 20+ characters then we got random paint splashes and made them into characters. We also did this with random objects. After doing so, we got our fav's and made colour, style and shape variations

2. Jump

to prove that our character wasn't to hard/complicated to animate we had a simple assignment to animate them jumping.

3.choose

Now it was time to really get working on the final animation, we made choices
-What kind of animation?

-what is your animation gonna be about?

We all made an storyboard, simple drawings to show whats going to happen in your animation
And we made a style frame, a single frame to show how every frame is going to look.

3. acting

To get the best references while animation we had to act our all the scene's.

4. Raw animation

now we really get to animate. for a raw animation it can mean differents tings.

For 2d animation it can be the sketch lines or moving storyboard.
For 3d animation it can be roughly pose to pose, T-pose sliding instead of walking and overall just the base animation
For things like claymation or stop motion it can be the animation with the lines / armature edited away
enz..

5. The animation

Finish the animation, I can't give more information because I'm still at the last step.

6. Sound

We got multiple extra classes in sound effects and music so we could make the best sounds for our animations.

7. Show off

The school where I go to hired of one of the cinema rooms so that we at the end of the school year all can show off our animation on the big screen :D

- Thank you for reading this blog, and enjoy the rest of your time on the World Wide Web
